Propane Cannon at Lake Jacksonville Campgrounds
Beginning the week of January 15, 2018 the parks department will begin using a propane cannon to try to scare away the Turkey Vultures that are invading the boat launch. The cannon will be used during the day several times a day over a 2 week period. The parks department will not use the cannon after sunset or before 7:30 am as to limit the disturbance to the surrounding citizens.
